Fabula Rasa was formed in 2006 and made its first public appearance at the Budapest Fringe Festival where they were awarded a special prize for professionalism. After that the band became one of the most sought after new bands in the Hungarian world music scene.
They have since given concerts at many festivals, cultural institutions and clubs all over Hungary. Their colourful music is strongly based on Hungarian folk music, but uses elements from the neighbouring nations' tradition. All this is infused with contemporary musical studies and experiences, often seasoned with elements borrowed from modern electronic music.
Their first album, 'Csindratta', featuring their own compositions, was published at the end of 2006 and followed by their second album Porgettyu-Lankattyu in 2009.

reached the final in the World Music category,
