After the February 5th election, it is vital that there be an honest evaluation of the campaign for Proposition 92. It must be recognized that at least 4 out of 10 voters were in favor, but only one county actually gave Prop. 92 a majority vote.

There is a need to convince the California electors that the California Community College system represents the broadest, most cost-effective means of improving California's human capital through education of the state's labor force... and we need to understand that the CCC system is still an untapped resource in providing for the safety of our economy and infrastructure, that the California Community College system should be first in the minds of voters when they think of public educational institutions that both are the best bargain and do the most to improve and protect California, even during a fiscal crisis.

When everyone from the individual voter to the Governor can get behind that message, it will show at the ballot box.

Thank you for your consideration via your add request. I have never been an actual CCC faculty member, although as part of San Diego City College's future teacher program, I did lead a sociology seminar under the supervision of two professors many years ago.

The California Community College system may be one of the greatest assets this state has in terms of its ability to change the lives of the greatest number of California residents through educational advancement and achievement...
