In the sticks of Victoria, British Columbia came three people who wanted to try something different. Thundering hits powering chords and a voice driven to hit the back walls of venues everywhere! This was how FACES of BLACK was formed.
Beginning in October 2003, FACES of BLACK hit the vibrating scene that is Victoria. Their debut album, self-titled, FACES of BLACK is currently having great success across Vancouver Island, as well as Vancouver, and in the most obscure cities of Norway, Italy, Brazil , & Argentina. FACES of BLACK are now releasing their latest album, titled, The Beckoning due out this summer 2005. The new songs are much more powerful, heavy and fluent which leaves listeners wanting for more!!!!
FACES of BLACK bring a new and refreshing sound to what we call rock. This band has been acknowledged and acclaimed as having a HEAVY and BIG sound. Almost too big for some of the cracker box shacks they play!
The kicker is the vocalist. She can belt it out and with STYLE and intensity you dont usually hear from women in todays music.
Faces of Black have become much heavier than when I last saw them. Their songs are chock full of groove and I was pleasantly surprised to hear double bass tastefully peppered throughout. Overall, a band to keep an eye on, as with more live shows they will create a buzz!
And a buzz they DID create. Faces of Black has reached high acclaim in magazines such as Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles, Peacedogman.com and MetalMaidens.com (Sweden) who quotes, In my opinion, they could be a very promising band for the future, and they would definitely fit perfectly on the bill of OZZFEST this summer.
Take a listen to FACES of BLACK and hear for yourself! True to their performance, this release reflects energy, groove and style. If you like it Heavy, Dark, & Dirty, youll love this band!

Thanks for adding our band, you either rock, like rock or are as dumb as a rock.
