Music
this changes a whole lot. suffice to say that I cannot be relied upon to have good taste in music. sometimes I like music that deserves to be liked, but that's usually just a coincidence.
Movies
those with lots of humor and those with good fight scenes. I doubly like those with both, obviously.
Television
if I'm walking by and someone's watching tv, I'm incredibly vulnerable to getting sucked into sitcoms. in the extremely unlikely event that I get bored enough to actually turn on the tv myself, (for a long time I didn't think this possible, but then one day it happened) my favorites are the food network, national geographic, and the discovery channel. and maybe the bbc or botswana tv.
Books
civilization and the limpet, dove, lord of the rings, ender's game, hhg. and stuff.
Heroes
people who find the strength to stand when everything feels like it's falling down around them; my parents; my boss at alkulana.
About me: I'm cheesy, have bad taste in movies, and enjoy lying on the floor underneath ceiling fans in the summertime. Often I don't sleep well, and today I listen to Eric Hutchinson songs on repeat. I procrastinate by looking up random words on google images and by reading articles from www.sciam.com and related websites. I love nearly everyone and have avoidance issues.
Who I'd like to meet: people who reek of awesomeness.
you may notice that I have added an honesty box. it's because I'm a tool. I am so ashamed. (but not, evidently, ashamed enough to remove it. yet.)
I love tesla, mostly for this reason: In the Colorado Springs lab, Tesla observed unusual signals that he later thought may have been evidence of extraterrestrial radio communications coming from Venus or Mars.[68] He noticed repetitive signals from his receiver which were substantially different from the signals he had noted from storms and earth noise. Specifically, he later recalled that the signals appeared in groups of one, two, three, and four clicks together

Toni Holliday? Oh yeah, amazing. Curve and Frou Frou are really quite similair, but like I said, Imogen's solo stuff wanders a bit off the reservation.
Really impressive. She is very much in the vein of great shoegazer acts...like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7F3oEq92sGY Prepare to have your mind blown.
