In early 2007 two songwriters Jake Reeves & Lance Norman began working together after meeting at Randy Hoppers songwriter night at Love & War in Texas in Plano. Soon they began collaborating along with Peter Dickson (the wayfaring stranger) continuing to play open mics and songwriter shows. Soon after Peter Dickson wandered out west. Jake and Lance started working together on a project that would later be named Faded Fools.
With Lances brilliant Dylan/Cash-like songwriting style and Jakes solid Musical talent the combination of the two would spawn a style of their own. Two songwriters two guitars and two harmonicas playing at the same time. With Lance on rhythm and Jake playing lead they make for one mighty duo. In late Sept. 2007 they would play there first show. Opening for the real deal Dale Watson at the Narrow Trail Cowboy Church Fall Round Up. At this time the name Faded Fools wasn't yet a thought. In the next few months with crazy nights of getting faded, drunk and making fools of them selves. The name Faded Fools was born. Over the next year Faded Fools would continue to play shows around Dallas/Ft.worth at venues such as (Adair's saloon, Mimosa street tavern, Love and War in Texas, The across the street bar, The Fairmount, The Prophet Bar and others including private parties. Let it be known that we are Faded Fools not (THE) Faded Fools because of the many many great musicians and artist that have lived and died to date. The name Faded Fools is an homage to these past and living legends.
