 
Fades Away is a high energy, original hard rock band out of Minneapolis, MN. The five members include David Erickson (vocals), Matt Mahlen (drums/percussion), John Laing (guitar), Kyle Heaser (guitar) and Steve Daniels (bass). Each member’s different musical and personal background provides the building blocks for Fades Away’s unique style. Integrating genres ranging from jazz and classical, to hard rock and blues, Fades Away collaborates to create their raw yet melodic sound.
Although the concept and writing for Fades Away began several years ago, it was only in the past year that the band came together in its entirety. In addition to an enormous passion for music, the common ideal that brought Fades Away together was the desire to help others with their music. It is through sharing the life experiences and beliefs of each member through the music of Fades Away that provides the connection and approachability that the fans of the band have come to know and love.
Currently the band is establishing themselves in the Midwest region. Since the release of debut album, “You’ll Never Take Me Alive” in 2008, the fan base continues to grow rapidly. An extremely intense live performance (one which contains enough backflips to make you feel like you’re at a gymnastics meet) always engages the crowd and keeps the fans coming back hungry for more!
