Fontaine Francis (stage name Fah Bhlaqq & formally known as Spadez) was born in Newark, NJ on January 31, 1986. He was birthed by a hard working woman with 3 jobs and a well known street hustler by the name of Silky (which is also Fah's middle name/alias). In the late 80s, he and his family moved to Irvington. A life of consistent struggle, the divorce of his parents at a young age, the hatred for his mother's 2nd husband and an environment full of crime, guns, sex and drugs played as a huge inspiration to his lyrical art in the future.
At the age of 16, Fah began to write raps as a hobby. After getting a very positive response toward his rhymes, he took his rap skills more seriously. He consistently wrote new material on an everyday basis. At 17, he joined a local rap group by the name of "JFK" which was formed by neighborhood friends of his. They would all write over instrumentals and lay down tracks in a small closet booth studio in Elizabeth. The young group dropped 2004's "JFK Caution". The downfall for the project was due to poor sound quality. The lack of dedication towards pushing the project caused many problems within the group and even frequent break-ups. Because of this, Fah (known as Spadez at the time) was forced to work on his solo project. The group then had their own music studio in an attic apartment.
Fah dropped his very first mixtape "Snitchin' Is Suicidal Vol. 1" in 2005. The disc featured all of the JFK artists & the songs were recorded over industry beats. Fah's unique sides of humor & aggressiveness were highly acknowledged. His lyrics, punchlines & originality made him stand out greatly. Although the mixtape granted him a local buzz, he was unhappy with his status and direction. After major disagreements, Fah decided to leave JFK and go solo.
In 2006, Fah (still known as Spadez) took his first steps as a solo artist. Monster (of Slick Talk Ent.) introduced him to KBS, a producer, manager & founder of SRMG. He then met GL, a former member of legendary Newark rap group "The Orphanz" and producer & cousin of KBS. He was taken under the wing by both of them but grew a closer bond with GL and became immediate brothers. That summer, Fah's 2nd mixtape "Snitchin' Is Suicidal Vol. 2" arrived, hosted by GL. The tape displayed a very much improved Spadez. From his flow to his punches, everything was advanced to the highest power. "Hurricane Blakk" was a freestyle track for "100 Bars" that showcased his stamina. While the tape was blazin' the streets, he began working on his album but the project quickly became a vegetable after a huge break-up between GL & KBS, which led Fah & many other artists to go their seperate routes. Because of the unexpected fallout, money issues & a twisted personal life, no album was ever released.
After a long hiatus and with hunger for a new beginning, Fah changed his primary stage name from Spadez to Fah Bhlaqq. 2008's "Bhlaqq Out: Operation Black Fryer" was his first official mixtape release in 2 years and was hosted by DJ Reek Gz. It became an instant hood classic, letting people know that nothing has changed besides his rap name. Club joints like "Hit It From The Back" & "I Got Dough" and lyrical bangers like "Straight Dumpin" & "Mr. Murderton" are what made the tape a versatile heat rock and a car stereo classic!
In 2009 Lead Injection was born! Fah Bhlaqq's most anticipated project consisted of all original material and was produced by numerous beatmakers. The disc was designed to be a hardbody/rugged/wig splittin' elixer for the streets with a blend of soul. Hosted by DJ Reek Gz and included singles "Breezy Bounce", "Fortunate", "Reloaded" & "Smack Fire". Dedicated to the hood and for all the REAL rap fans that appreciate TRUE hip-hop music. The story of his life continues...
