Fahrenheit has now become one of S.As most proud offerings of international Rock talent. Now with their first 3 singles Pieces, Rise & "Sugar Effervescent Lady" they have reached no.1 in S.A. thrice in a row.
Calvin Coolidge once said, Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent - unrewarded genius is almost a proverb - the world is full of educated derelicts Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
After many years of songwriting, playing live in many bands and really getting a good taste of one of the hardest industries in the world, Fahrenheit was formed purely on the basis of persistence alone.
Wayne Joshua (Front man / Songwriter) spent many late nights alone in his recording studio nestled beneath a mountain, overlooking the ocean. Over a period of time Wayne wrote & recorded an array of songs that would eventually find their way to a group of people that were great musicians and perfectionists in their craft.
Some kind of crazy energy was immediately identified and we all knew we were onto some-thing great. After just 3 rehearsals, the band was pulled onto a South African tour with some already established S.A. bands.
The tour was a complete success, which kick-started Fahrenheit onto their own platform of sellout shows, Live & unplugged across Cape Town & South Africa in 2004.
Fahrenheits sound can be described as an uplifting, punchy, progressive style of Rock/Pop, with it's own unique identity.
- The band is currently charting on every major radio station in South Africa, and is receiving only the most positive feedback from the music industry.
- They went no 1. for 7 weeks running with their first single Pieces. (On the South African Top 10)
- Rise their second single also reached the no. 1 spot! (3 weeks running)
Then with "Sugar Effervescent Lady" (3rd single released Feb 2006) they immediately received A Rotation on Johannesburgs No.1 Station 94.7 Highveld Stereo, and are climbing the charts faster than you can say Rise! It has also been playlisted on all major radio stations across S.A.
- According to Brian OShea, (Now S.As Top Songwriter/Producer, who has had 25 chart topping singles in the last 3 years alone) Theyre my favourite band, with a collection of the best songs Ive heard in the last 6 years!
