..If one could tell the tale of renegades, nomads, and rejects, one would tell the compelling Odyssey of Failed Musicians. A story of fun, love, betrayal, and life, Failed Musicians paints pictures so vividly you can witness each scene unfold with just the slightest blink of an eye lid. Hailing from Akron, Ohio, world-renowned Rubber City, this up and coming indie label has put a stamp unlike any other on the music scene of their north-eastern hometown. While most emcees shy away from bleeding on wax, Failed Musicians embraces the pain. Being unafraid to bare emotions and poetically confronting issues dealing with insecurities and struggles that most people deal with on a day to day basis, gives FM a kindred connection with their fans and all who listen. FM records is a group of sarcastic comedians whose egotistical and cocky demeanor has the family telling the world what’s to be expected; "You're gonna love me!" Failed Musicians consists of overall producer/extraordinaire C.I Self, the serial vinyl killer D.J Donnie Demonic, the influential and inspiring emcee Esum (Muse), and Mr. "I don't care, I've been through it all" self proclaimed lost poet Sin. Individually and collectively they have swept the north- eastern Ohio underground scene and are firmly taking their first row seat amongst the Mid-west rap scene. After coming together in 2003, with Sin and DJ Donnie Demonic (formerly of 53rd State), the duo adopted a rarity amongst writers when they found Esum (Pronounced Assume). Shortly after, the now trio, was graced by the musical visions and knowledge of C.I Self. Once established, FM Records was born in 2005. Together these four horsemen would set the standards of what they feel quality music really is. Outcasted for their openness to express life’s trials and tribulations, they would later proclaim themselves as "Rubber City Rejects". However, Failed Musicians would later be embraced by the masses as one of the cities most articulate musical families. Performing shows with live bands and instruments, Failed Musicians is earning a rightful place in pioneering the outlook on Akron's underground music scene. The unique style that FM brings to the table has allowed them to tour the states shredding the stage at such venues as The Grog Shop, Lime Spider, Phantasy Nightclub, The Voodoo, Bernie's and many more. Their talent has also graced the stage with great acts such as Qwel, Honey Pot, Poets of Another Breed, Cage, and several other crucial emcees of not only Ohio, but of the country. Sin, Esum, DJ Donnie demonic and FM Record’s reigning producer C.I Self, plan to be around for the long haul. Launching the labels first and much anticipated full length albums of both artists Sin and Esum, followed by an instrumental album by C.I Self and DJ Donnie Demonic entitled Words Fail all coming early to mid 2008, Failed Musicians are looking to make a mark in not only the us, but the world as well. .. .................... .. .. .. .. .. ..
