Faint The Fiction is next and since this was my first time to see these guys play live, but have known them a while, I was pretty excited to get this opportunity. I was actually amazed at the energy on stage that this band had. I was expecting a softer band than what I saw and that's a bonus for me, because these guys put on a great show and appeared to have a lot of fun on stage. The crowd had no problems getting into this band and was very much enjoying the music and I was enjoying watching the heads bobbing to the beats. This is a band I see going somewhere very soon.

Meanwhile, back in the clubs around town there's another particular bunch of locals who've been inspiring me to put pen to paper following a weekend of making the rounds. This time the spotlight falls on Faint The Fiction who certainly seem to be steering themselves in the right direction when it comes to truly trying to go places. Regardless if there's 15, 50, or 500 people watching them play, FTF get out there and give it their all with a sound that's just waiting to make an impact on Modern Rock Radio airwaves. They've got a keen sense of when to spike melodic pulse with punchy grit which gives their songs a driving momentum that not only gets fists pumping but backsides shaking. Their catchy appeal, confident approach and potent chemistry is captured well enough on disc, yet Faint The Fiction is really the kind of group you need to go see in person.
