After an amazing year of touring to promote their first album No Strings Attached, which was released
April 21st, 2008 online, Fairgame has begun the writing process once again in 2009 for their sophomore album called 'Transition'.
Fairgame was Drawn together as if by psychic musical
forces. Vocalist Adrian Maldonado and bass-player Victor Frost, both
with roots in Merida, Mexico, converged in Northern California with Sacramento natives Leo Reyes and Sam Sever to unleash their
high-energy fusion of progressive rock and funk, with undertones of jazz
and blues.... So welcome to the FAIRGAME experience!
Driven by wild guitar riffs, funky bass lines and powerful drum beats while being ignited
by the spark of energetic melodic vocals, their dynamic hybrid sound
really brings something fresh to the music world!
“When you come together as a band to create your music, the individuals
have a set idea of what the sound should be like, but through the
creative process, the songs evolve into something that goes beyond what
you expected. It is the blend of ideas and influences that all the band
members bring to the table that gives our music its originality,” says
bassist Victor Frost.
Currently the guys are working hard in the studio writing their next album. Fairgame was recently KRXQ 98 Rock's Local Licks Artist of the Month for February 09 and recently made an appearance on ABC Channel 10 News to promote their UC Davis Childrens Hospital Benefit Show. The band has also been nominated for a 2009 Sammie. Fairgame was also a Western Region semi-finalist in the Bodog Battle Of The Bands.
"The four guys in Fairgame have such a musical bond with each other, that the music can't help but be good. With funky Bass driven riffs, fun and sexually charged lyrics, the rythmic beat of the drums, and soaring guitar solo's, Fairgame takes music to a different level. Their energy cannot stay Earth bound. Blast off!!"

"This is a band you’d expect to hear on 98 Rock; it’s that simple. The bassist even looks like a Mexican version of Chris Cornell in his heyday (or perhaps a distant cousin of Josh Fernandez), but that’s beside the point. Beyond the intense facial hair and power stances, these guys look like they might have a bright future in the music industry. How do I know this? Because they have official Fairgame wet T-shirt contests, and damnit, that has to count for something."
