Hailing from Baltimore, MD Fairgreen is a band on the rise. Blending
strong guitar riffs and powerful/passionate vocals Fairgreen is
writing the songs that will keep people singing and radio stations
playing. The songs that are being written by the band give a sence of
hope and encouragement to the listener through their trying times.
With songs that deal with such topics as relationship breakups and the
passionate plea to become who we are meant to be, Fairgreen is dealing
with the relevant topics of today that will reach and touch their
peers. The bands desire is to not only impact the culture, but to
follow the calling God has placed on their life by walking the walk
and talking the talk. Fairgreen has recevied Airplay on Baltimore's 98
Rock radio and has been ranked number 1 on myspace.com as the top
unsigned Christian band in Maryland. Playing over 120 plus shows a
year and selling quite a bit of merchandise, Fairgreen released their
7 song EP entitled "When You Come Back Home" Sept 1st 07. "Fairgreen's
reason for being a band is not only to play music for God, but also to
spread the good news of Jesus Christ through music, our own
testimonies, and by the way we walk and talk. We want to be good
examples to anyone who is searching for something to fill the void in
their hearts" says the band.
Every band now days claims to be that new revolutionary sound, with
total originality. But what ever happened to just making good music
with a good message, and letting the listener decide just how
revolutionary you sound. Its not always all about the fastest guitar
solo, or the quickest bassline, but more about how much that song
moves the listener. Fairgreen is a christian band, who writes
christian songs intended to uplift anyone out there who may feel like
its time to give up. They will never claim to be their own sound, but
they do hope that maybe something catches the listeners attention to
where they keep coming back for more.
