Fair Herald’s brand of whiskey-tinged rock brings a force all its own. Starting just over four years ago in the halls of their old Chicago high school, Fair Herald's flirtation with sounds well-worn by The Replacements, R.E.M, and Wilco has ripened into a furious yet pop-sensible sound they can call their own.
In their native Chicago, Fair Herald has been featured on alternative radio stations WXRT (93XRT) and WKQX (Q101). Their current release, Familiar Streets (2008), was recorded at Chicago’s B-Side Audio.
Guitarist Mark Goldich joined the quartet of Mike Bellis, Sean Bacastow, Jimmy Bloniarz, and Dave Brankin in the Fall of 2008. Fair Herald returns to the stage this summer with a tour of the Midwest.
Praise for Familiar Streets:
"Alt-country guitar ballad style and sunny mood and light percussion - similar to Whiskeytown or Old 97s."
