"rocking, paranoid, i love it, the video gives me the creeps for a minute there, but great ending. anyway, right on in my book" - Matthew Caws (Nada Surf)
"They're pretty rad" - Mark Hoppus (+44)
"Fairmont's new record, Wait and Hope, is beautiful. It has a unique way of being both dark and hopeful at the same time." - Tyler Pursel (Gym Class Heroes & Ladybirds)
"I believe that Fairmont is hot shit because I believe in good ‘ol organic fun."
- Julia Conny (AbsolutePunk.net)
"Fairmont, seems once again poised to break to a wider audience."
- Nathan Dylan (WonkaVisionMagazine.com)
"This is a band that seems to want global domination with these hits and near-hits. Plus they have enough mojo to make you want to check out their live show too. Fairmont is a damn good rock and roll band, that will throw you a few curves and surprise the hell out of you at times. They have my vote for one of the Top Ten Albums of the year!" - Phil Rainone (Pop Vulture)
" Well it seems to me after experiencing Fairmont in all their glory, they turn out to be a pretty well rounded band. They are remarkably balanced and sow together different genres to make their own, making it a special spectacle to hear. "Wait & Hope" is not only catchy but also an interesting read, as the lyrics are so sarcastic and funny that you just have to sit down and read them. What a great example of what an indie/rock band should be, with the youthful energy combining with the wisdom of experience to form one great record." - Derek (SkylinePress.net)
"Fairmont is the cream of the crop when it comes to guitar-based indie-rock, and they prove it with Wait and Hope, which is guitar rock done so impeccably that you can’t help but love it. If you like literate, intelligent indie-rock with a great attention to detail and a liberal dose of attitude, Fairmont will be in your corner" - Stephen Carridini (IndependentClauses.com)
"Fairmont is a philosophy that emphasizes the uniqueness and isolation of the individual experience in a hostile or indifferent universe, regards human existence as unexplainable, and stresses freedom of choice and responsibility for the consequences of one's acts" - Jean Paul Sartre (Father of Modern Existentialism)
Hey Neil, so cool meeting you and the band, you guys are awesome live... I really enjoyed your performance. It was great being on the same bill. Hope we get to do it again sometime. A new friend and fan, Rob.
hey... saw you guys @ the Crazy Donkey last night... Being & Nothingness is a great song... good luck on the rest of the tour w/ Keith, hopefully the audiences are a little bigger than the LI one... later
You're only down that far cuz I didn't hear about you guys til later in life!! If it makes you feel any better, you guys are the only band that's in my "top friends". Pretty shnazy, right?
Yes, I'm very excited for that new record. I'm saving, so I'm definitely buying that.
Well, Kristina's been away on vacation for like, DECADES, so we haven't had time to record, but she gets back this week, so we promised ourselves we'd record.
We kinda hate everything that's on our myspace right now, it sounds so crappy, haha. We can't wait to get drums and whatnot in our recordings.
lol.. good.. and you? i figured it'd be easier to say "HEY, home to kansas city or lawrence!" if i were friends with the band.. funny thing is i thought i was already.
Thanks so much for sending me a request. You guys are spectacular. I think that I am going to buy Wait and Hope once I get some extra dough. Thanks again. ;]
sooo i went on itunes and bought all your music. and then felt like a dumbass when i realized i bought your music AND some other band with the same name's music. i guess electronic dance-ish music is worth a few good times.
