Fairview are a 4 piece band from Birmingham in the United Kingdom and have made a considerable impact on the local music scene since forming in early 2005. After road testing their songs, Fairview hit the studio in January 2006 to record a demo to help the band progress further. With the production aid of legendary British Punk producer Iain Wetherell (Fastlane, Gravel Trap, Vanilla Pod and The Departure) their demo showcases some early songs which are available to download on this site.
Fairview played a sold out unsigned showcase at the Little Civic in Wolverhampton and recently supported MC Lars at the Birmingham Barfly. This culminated in MC Lars asking the band to play a few dates on his national tour, the highlight being at SOLD OUT show at the Sugarmill in Stoke. With the band gaining more high profile shows they were asked to be main support for Sonic Boom Six (Deck Cheese Records) at Bar Academy.
Fairview have also been played on Kerrang radio and got through to the last 6 from over 200 bands in a national Kerrang sponsored battle of the bands competition. The bands got selected by A&R scouts as one of the top 10 emerging acts in Birmingham to play at a weekend festival featuring Dirty Pretty Things. Song Lost For Words has been played in the biggest and most popular alternative club nights in Birmingham (Subculture, Snobs and the Kerrang sponsored Anarchy) and along with Honesty these songs have played on XFM, Pulse Rated and most local radio stations as well as various podcasts. The song Honesty was nominated by listeners as one of the top songs in Overplays ’play & rate’ competition which recieved excellent feedback from a panel of judges including Major record labels Fiction/Polydor and Modern Management.
The band are building up a national profile and growing international interest especially from the USA. This was highlighted when the band were contacted by an independent Florida based record label to appear on their latest compilation featuring artists Allister and Bigwig.

"With power chords alive with righteous anger and an angrily angelic vocal, Fairview deserve a seat on the bus right next to Lostprophets and My Chemical Romance. Alive with sweeping pasty-faced anguish.
Good musicianship, passionate vocal, I imagine a great live band." - Fiction/Polydor
"Fairview mix catchy hooks and heavy guitarst to create some powerfull pieces of pop punk perfection" - Salvo Magazine

So I’ve just uploaded a new tune - it’s called ‘Long Days, Late Nights’ and you can hear it on my page right now!
Having never written and recorded an entire EP all on my own before I was perhaps a little optimistic in thinking it’d be ready for the end of August; it is nearly done, just not quite yet!
The new tune is going to be the last song on the EP - I think it has that kinda melancholy vibe, but I'd love to know your thoughts..
Hello Fairview we had a few complaints last week that we were using a MySpace program to send out our messages. So believe this when we say that you Fairview are very important to us, just as important as the other 1000 people who are on my personal and the Exiles MySpace page. Fairview you may think that you aren’t special to us but Fairview Exiles (like Metallica) loves you.
So where Fairview are you going to get your fix of awesome music this week because Exiles Birmingham’s Genre Straddling Rock Behemoth is just itching to give you Fairview a dose of sticky Rock infection every Thursday leaving you Fairview feeling dirty and molested. Speaking of molested Marshall made a flyer, thankfully so did Tim Ki Kydd who is partly responsible for our awesome website. Check it out at exilesbirmingham. co. uk

This Saturday I am stage managing at Project X and you have to look at some of the links below to believe how awesome this event is.
So Fairview we have a wonderful plan for this Thursday night.
You definitely should go and see The Mirimar Disaster, I am Colossus, Slab and Mothertrucker at the Asylum ........and then you should pootle on down to Exiles and get all drunk with all the aforementioned bands as they will be coming out to play and celebrate being awesome altogether.
If you turn up with a ticket stub from the gig we will let you in for £2 where you can boogie on down to Rock music not normally heard in Shiny Brummingham.
Check out our website and see what awesomeness we’ve been playing.
