Fairyfloss formed in February 2005. They had four members: James Clark (Lead guitar and Vox), Ash Beks (Drums and Vox), Rohan Liebelt (Rhythm guitar) and James Walters (The Bass Player).
Fairyfloss was founded by Beksy and Clarkey when their previous band broke up, they recruited rhythm guitarist Rohan and bassist James and started writing songs that showed plenty of promise.
It wasn't long before they were getting quite a few gigs in their local area; including Outta Limits and the high profile Live At The Park. They won a local battle of the bands and were also lucky enough to be a part of Notre Dame’s Kool Skools project, recording Slip and Slide.
Early in 2006 however, Rohan and Beksy quit Fairyfloss, sighting differences in personalities and creative pursuits.
Fairyfloss recruited drummer Ben and spent a year working on new material and reinventing some old favourites. Fairyfloss played Federation Square, and a few very minor gigs that year, also recording two songs for Notre Dame's Kool Skools CD. Silence and Hangin' On were recorded with Hangin’ On nominated for best Pop/Rock track at the state awards night.
2007 bought more change to Fairyfloss when Rohan came back into the fold to play with them for Live shows. 2007 promises to be another exciting year for The Floss after electrifying shows at Live at the Pool and the Shine Festival, where the crowd was impressed with their catchy hooks, driving rhythms and energetic performance.

It is sad to say that this show will be Harley's last show with MayAprilMarchInAugust. Harley has been a major part of the band and it's formation and has recently decided to pursue music upon a different road. FLY AWAY Street Team and MAMIA wish him all the best and hope to give him an amazing last show in Kyabram on June 13th. We only hope that you can be there to see him off.
