I am interested in most things creative...music, art, ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions or Originals), NEEDLE FELTING, gardening, doll making, beading, bead making, embellishing, design, computer graphics, sewing, painting, sculpting...should I go on? OK...songwriting, spirituality, personal growth...etc....etc.
I have very eclectic tastes. I love classical, jazz, folk, rock-n-roll, new age, world and songwriters.
Movies
I love fantasy, science fiction, chick flicks, dramas...not into gun violence, but monsters are OK.
Television
Dislike the current "reality" fad, except for "Starting Over" which I don't get since I moved...sigh. Like the oldies, but mostly use the DVD and VHS players...if there's time....yeah, right.
Books
Lord of the Rings (duh), Chronicles of Narnia, Going Within, Emanuel's Book II. There are too many to name, really, as I am pretty eclectic. I love coffee table books with wonderful photos of ... well...just about anything.
Heroes
There are, just too many...really...hmmmm...I'll have to give this one some thought. A short list might be: Jim Henson, Stetson Kennedy and Ann Thomas.
About me: I am an eclectic artist/song writer transplanted, two years ago, from Florida, USA to West Virginia, USA and from there to Jersey City, NJ, USA! Life just blew up and I'm looking for a new one.
I just uploaded some to my gallery here. They're at the end of my "My Photos" folder because I haven't taken the time to figure out how to sort my photos into folders yet. Mary and I are both becoming addicted to making journals. I've made a fourth one since I scanned these. Thanks so much for introducing us to Samantha Kira -- and, through YouTube links, to a lot of other Art Journal divas. One time I put in Samanthakira and your reply video, showing your own journal, was the first thing that came up!
To one of my oldest (I'm the one who's older than dirt)and dearest friends: Sorry I didn't get to see you when you were in Jacksonville: I let things get complicated for awhile but I straightened things out:
Thanks for the support, and being a friend. If you have time please forward our page to all your myspace friends in the Huntsville area. (At least the ones you want to Rock n' Roll with on June 7th. ;-)) If you put this page in your TOP FRIENDS for about a month, it would really help spread the word. Hope to see you there. It's gonna be a great show, All day rockin' into the night, and it's for a great cause, so bring as many of your friends as you can.
One of the largest, single day Rock n' Roll parties in the valley's history is going to take place on June 7th at The Crossroads Music Hall, 115 Clinton Ave. E., in downtown Huntsville. "MUSIC 4 MEDS" is the "Concert to Benefit The Community Free Clinic". Doors open at 1:30PM, and music begins at 2:00PM, and will continue nonstop until the wee hours.
A minimum donation of $10.00 is requested.
I imagine we all wish we were wealthy enough to write a huge check to solve the problems that arise, but for most of us, the best we can do is pitch in a little, and try to get the job done. If you can afford to show up on June 7th and donate a few bucks, we promise to play our hearts out for you and make it worth your while.
Plan on coming out and being a part of this celebration. Together we can do a lot to help our community, and have a great time doing it! Hope to see you there!
Thanks so much for your help and support. - Sonny Edwards
I can’t take back what I’ve done in the past Nor can I retaliate on all that’s been done to me, At best I can learn from experiences I’ve had Shake the chains of regret and be free,
The future has its own set of tests and trials So why dwell upon yesterdays woes, My road only changes if I’m willing to change it The door of opportunity is never closed.
I must free up my psychological arms To make space for better things to come I should dispose of the junk from the past And seek the source where all natural treasures come from.
We are the wardens of the prison in our minds Condemned by guilt, regret and sorrow, But I stay at peace, when I learn to release- Yesterday, and appreciate the hope of tomorrow!
