Faith Willin' came about because as a family, we were playing old timey gospel songs in church. Perry plays guitar and I play bass. Jeri is learning to play fiddle and we're all kinda trying to learn the mandolin. Jeri has some amazing vocal abilities so we push her out front as often as we can. *grin*
Perry came up with the band name. We have the Faith and we're Willin' to do all we can. If you're ever in Gainesville, FL, check out Countryside Baptist Church on 39th Ave, just west of I-75 at exit 390. We don't play every week, but you're welcome to visit anytime.
As time goes by, we'll try to put together some jams or pick up gigs locally. We'll use the myspace calendar to keep you informed.
For now, we are playing every Friday night in Trenton, FL at Las Avina's Mexican Restaurant. Every Saturday night we're also at Las Avina's Mexican Restaurant, at the Archer, FL location. So either night, you get great Mexican food and cool music. We start each night at around 6:30pm and go until 9:00 or a bit later if we still have listeners.
We are also committed to play at Cross Brand Cowboy Church every other Thursday. (2nd and 4th/5th of the month). Check the shows list for more opportunities to hear Faith Willin'.
