About Fake Gimms

After years of friendship and musical partnership dating back to their days in elementary school, New Jersey based quartet Fake Gimms have forcefully broken into the tri-state rock scene with their debut album, "Vivamus Metus." The independently produced LP beautifully layers the harmonious vocal talents of Gregory Kuter and Joe Pfeiffer over a bed of gripping arrangements as admirably influenced by the likes of rock history's most notables. Think of Cream’s vocal duo of Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton if they time-warped into the future to sing for Queens of the Stone Age, Muse or Weezer. Standout anthems like "The Cell Phone Song" have spread virally over college radio and through the underground music community with a snowballing herd of fans following closely behind. This is a road-seasoned band with some serious momentum, as they plan to release another self-produced and highly anticipated album later in 2009.
