Prague's Dj's crew The Fakes has been on local club scene since autumn 2005. Till the beginning of year 2008 Simon Safranek - DJ Sin (a writer and filmaker), Pavel Kucera – DJ Palinoman (a TV presenter and music journalist) and Veronika Stefanova - DJ Veronique Anghell (a fashion editor and TV presenter) had made the formation. Exactly on the break between years 2007 and 2008 Veronika decided to focus on her own projects and she will only cooperate with The Fakes as a guest. In the present The Fakes are formed by Pavel and Simon who sometimes invite a guest to their show. Therefore they have shared mixing desk with e.g. Mardoša (a member of Czech group Tatabojs), Kay (Sunshine), Destroyer (The Prostitutes) or writer Jaroslav Rudiš.
Since their foundation The Fakes have formed stable position on Czech club scene, they have had their show as afterparty DJs with most of the czech major club bands, e.g Moimir Papalescu & The Nihilists, The Prostitutes, Sunshine, Bruno Ferrari, The Ecstasy Of Saint Theresa or Khoiba. They have also supported a few foreign interprets of big names such as The Whip, Digitalism, Robots In Disguise, I AM X, Warren Suicide or Mignon.
In 2007 The Fakes played over forty sets, 28 of them in the first half of 2008 incuding the festivals Planet and Creamfields and Budapest club night Gumipop. Their shows are known for their energy and garancy of a well going party till early morning hours which has been witness by every Prague..s club e.g. Roxy, Palac Akropolis, Radost FX, Meet Factory, Zero or Lucerna Music Bar. In Brno Fleda, Perpetuum or Mersey were honoured by their presence.
In autumn 2007 The Fakes were offered by the Prague's club Roxy to launch their own resident night focused on nu rave, electro clash, indie electro as well as disco punk. The first T.R.A.S.H. party took place on 23rd November 2007 and over nine hundred clubbers danced in Roxy that night. In next few months a few important events are planned for the DJ's couple: supporting Ladytron in Prague, show in a few festivals (Fresh Film Fest or Summer Aqua Party) or next T.R.A.S.H. night in Roxy.
