Fakesensations is the one-man DIY pop-tronica project of Christian Ward. In the spirit of fellow bric-a-brac beatboys ('n'girls) like the Beta Band, Saint Etienne and Beck, Fakesensations make organic digital pop.
Christian started making music as Fakesensations in 2003 (before which he was a music writer. Honest, look), and in 2004 his track 'Selfish Girls Stay Thin' was released on the Wall Of Sound compilation 'We Love You...So Love Us Three'. It was played on Radio 1, XFM and Triple J in Australia. He also released a Christmas song on the label's 2004 Xmas EP 'Yule Love Us', but it was a bit shit so he doesn't talk about it anymore (though Metro said it was "Morrissey-esque"... but what do they know?).
'Isaac and the Secret Chord (Part One)' is the first volume of a psychedelic concept album about time travel, superstrings, Leonard Cohen and lost love. It is available to download for free at indiestore.com/fakesensations.
The next instalments of the Isaac saga will be released individually, one song per month, and will be available to buy from indiestore.com/fakesensations. The first song will be available on June 4th. Stay tuned for more!

It’s been far too long since I last said hello and so much has happened I thought it about time we said did.
We’ve changed a lot, now we are an “UltraModern, post-electro rock, post-nu rave behemoth where Muse and Mansun meet a Massive Attack with Duran Duran pop sensibilities, louder guitars, and a stunning female front person/guitar virtuoso”, or so we have been told.
I’d love to know what you’ve been up to since we disappeared into the dark damp studio cave, let us know how it’s going, I’m always up for a chat! Be good, and if you can’t be good, be lucky ;-) Dawn xx Scarlet/blonde
