   The Fallen Angels Club's Blurbs
About me:
The Fallen Angels Club was launched in February 2003 by it's sole promoter Kevin Morris and in such a short time has manged to host a whole array of Americana acts both from home and abroad. The Fallen Angels Club concentrates mainly on acts making their first trip to the UK with the hope of turning them into a more established act.

The Fallen Angels Club has promoted over 60 acts in just under 2 years of existence, consisting of both local and artists from America, Canada, Germany and Italy. Over the past 20 months or so we have given a whole host of acts their first gig, we have also given local talent the chance to perform with artists from other parts of the world. One of the main success stories of The Fallen Angels Club was Karine Polwart who performed at The Fallen Angels on the 7th October 2004 and 5 months after her Fallen Angels Club gig has went on to bigger and greater things since scooping 3 BBC Radio 2 folk awards.

-Francis Macdonald, Shoeshine Records / Spit & Polish

"In its first year the Fallen Angels club has become a vital component in Glasgow's live Americana music scene, presenting established masters of the storytelling song form and many of the flood of new artists who promise a great future for music rooted in the American soil. Here's to a great future for the Fallen Angels, too."

-Rob Adams The Glasgow Herald

"An excellent opportunity for both local and established acts."

Thanks for the add. In case you haven't heard, the G3P has reached its goal of 2,000 signers and comments. It now will continue at http://www. gramparsonspetition. com, and will be handed over to the CMA/Hall on the 35th anniversary of Gram's death this September 19. The petition will remain active until this seminal figure in cosmic American country music is inducted, like his protege Emmy Harris, into the Hall of Fame. Thanks to all who signed and those about to. For more, blog: http://blog. myspace. com/index. cfm?fuseaction=blog. view&friendID=95378292&blogID=415188416 or just go to myspace/myster_jones.

Hey Kev,

Hope you are well. I know you promote acts and i just feel driven to draw your attention to Huck Notari and his new cd 'Highland.' Its a must of Dylanesque fans and lovers of folk/country. I know for certain he would be delighted to come play some of our festivals here in Scotland. Please drop him a note, his CD is just terrific, in my humble opinion.
