...

In January 2007 Fallen Child strolled onto the stage of Bristol’s rock scene. With a groundbreaking mixture of 90's grunge, classic rock, irresistibly catchy grooves and a modern edge, Fallen Child have redefined the sound of new alternative rock, creating a new brand of noise which can only be described as “Grunge Funk”.

From their early days jamming GN'R tunes, the song writing partnership of Gregor Smith (Vocals) and Ed Burley (Guitars) has evolved to create a new and identifiable style, unique to the Fallen Child. With the addition of Ad Burley (Bassist) and Chris Dixon (Drummer) the complete line-up was soon cast in stone. Originally based in Weston-Super-Mare the band quickly outgrew the local scene, shifting their headquarters to Bristol to conquer new territory and expand the fanbase.

The focus of the band is always on the live show, a musical barrage of raw energy and excitement. Zeppelin-esque bass-lines snap in time with relentless pounding grooves. Dirty driving guitar riffs unfold into squealing solos while Gregor’s cracked Kurt voice and Axl swagger deliver lines of vitriolic working-class poetry. With equal parts wit and uncompromising anger, Gregor wages lyrical war against everything from the government and celebrity culture to his own inner demons.

Acoustic versions of the bands material overturn the preconception that they are a one-trick pony. The guitars are switched to acoustics, the drum-kit to a bongo. The beat retains its groove and the sound keeps its edge, yet the raw energy of the electric show and the mature and emotive song writing shine through.

Since first stepping up, Fallen Child have grown from strength to strength in both their live performances and studio sessions. This is clearly proven in the strength of their new EP “Zero Point Five”, which can be picked up free at one of their gigs or downloaded from www.fallenchild.co.uk. As their unstoppable assault on the Bristol live music scene steps up a gear its hard not to believe they are destined for good things. Get down to the next gig and get hold of the free EP!

Hi Fellas,

The "Taste" of success is good, but you're "Cursed" if you're too "Innocent" and the "Leeches" get under your "Skin" and make sure you're "Never Severed" from those that truly support you.

Hi Addy,
You did well. Good set.
Yes, I will circulate those for you.
Can you let me have a few please. Ta.
We're bound to meet soon, or visit a common place I suspect, or by all means ring me for my address if you find post/dropping off is easier.
I've given my copy away, so I'd like one for myself too if that's possible.
What are your Sundays looking like?
Cheers,
Murray.
