Fallen Into Ruin is a studio project/band that was founded around April of 2005 by Maurice on bass, Paul on drums and Robert on guitar, who had met through the means of an advertisement on a website for musicians. All three of them had known previous band and stage experience and regardless of some differences in their musical backgrounds, above all they shared their appreciation for melody, melancholy, atmosphere and some of the bands they supported. As they decided to give it a go, the three of them entered a rehearsal studio for the first time together in April of 2005 and, as would soon turn out to be, this eventually initiated the very beginning of Fallen Into Ruin. After multiple auditions for both a second guitarist and a singer, they finally found Marco as their second guitarist in March of 2006. After an extensive search that lasted for nearly another year, they finally found Danielle as their singer in May of 2007 to complete the very first line-up of Fallen Into Ruin.
However, due to a change in their personal circumstances, which would take place during the course of 2008, both Robert and Paul indicated that they would unfortunately see themselves forced to eventually leave the band, based on the fact that as a result of this change they would no longer be able to commit themselves to Fallen Into Ruin in a way that would still suit both the band and themselves. As they were decisions which had to be made sooner or later nonetheless and therefore their departure would be inevitable, Robert left the band in December of 2007 and Paul finally left the band in August of 2008.
Fallen Into Ruin found a temporary replacement for Robert in Mark as of January of 2008, but after multiple auditions unfortunately failed to do the same for Paul on drums. Eventually, in November of 2008, both new-found guitarist Mark and singer Danielle unexpectedly indicated that they intended to leave the band as a result of an increasing lack of motivation and a change of perspective. After discussing matters, Fallen Into Ruin concluded that there wasn’t enough ground left to continue the band upon in this line-up and therefore decided to go their separate ways as of thursday the 6th of November 2008.
As a result of the sum of these line-up changes, bass player Maurice and guitarist Marco initially decided to continue with Fallen Into Ruin as a studio project/band for the time being while keeping the possibility to re-form as a band in the near future open. Due to the change of perspective of Fallen Into Ruin as a band, Maurice and Marco set themselves new goals and laid out a new course for Fallen Into Ruin. In the midst of putting things to motion, Maurice and Marco got back in touch with former Fallen Into Ruin guitarist Robert and they soon learned that they shared a mutual interest in becoming musically involved again. Thus they concluded a solid ground, based on which was decided that Robert was to return to the line-up of Fallen Into Ruin effective as of februari 2009.
