"Fall in Bop" a commencé à vibrer à 4 voix et une section rythmique sous le nom de "Piston Machine" (avant 2000: 1ère partie de Michele Hendricks, festival in "Festival Cité de Carcassonne").
Août 2000, "Piston Machine" gagne le 2ème prix du concours "Crest jazz vocal" (avec Claire Suhubiette, soprane, Stéphanie Ibanez, soprane, Corinne Becker, alto, Laurent Borras, baryton, Vincent Ferrand, contrebasse, Georges Ibanez, guitare et banjo, Thomas Gouban, batterie)
Puis le groupe passe de "Piston Machine" à "Mornin' Voices" en troquant la section rythmique contre le piano avec Philippe Yvron (2001, Moissac, concerts sur le parvis de l'abbatiale; 2003, semaine du jazz, Auditorium de la chapelle des Jésuites à Carcassonne; 2003, salle Nougaro, soirée "Voix express"...)
On décide de reprendre une section rythmique et de prendre le nom de "Fall in Bop"(2005, "jazz au domaine de l'Hospitalet" à Narbonne , sous l'ancien nom de "Piston Machine"; café-théâtre du Minotaure à Béziers; jazz-club Léo Lagrange à Narbonne; Mandala jazz club à Toulouse; festival "Toques et clochers", Limoux;"Jazzalauna", spécial jazz vocal à Launaguet avec le Ray Big Band...)
Les chanteurs ont suivi plusieurs masterclass à Crest "jazz vocal" avec Roger Letson, Michele Hendricks ou individuellement pour Stéphanie Ibanez avec Judy Niemack et Sarah Lazarus.
"Fall in Bop" has begun to vibrate with 4 voices and a rhythm section under the name of "Piston Machine" (before 2000: Michele Hendricks'1st part, in "Festival Cité de Carcassonne").
August 2000, "Piston Machine" won the "Crest jazz vocal" Competition 2nd price.
Then the group went on, passing from "Piston Machine" to "Mornin' Voices" by exchanging the rhythm section against the piano with Philippe Yvron.
We decided to play again with a rhythm section and to rename us as "Fall in Bop"
