Neye Benziyor?
Hopefully, our own stuff sounds original to us - I'd say it's tuneful old school punk - tuneful like a lot of stuff from 77 and 78, but with the simplistic harder edge of the later punk years. We've "punkified" a few other band's songs and hopefully we sound quite like the original songs that we cover. This is the current setlist..........
NANNY STATE('cos that's what we're living in)...........ANARCHY IN THE UK (Sex Pistols).................BASKET CASE(Green Day)..........GARY GILMORE'S EYES - The Adverts............FALLING APART (our signature tune)............TEENAGE KICKS (Undertones)..................WHITE RIOT (The Clash).................AMERICAN IDIOT (Green Day).........JUST WHAT I NEEDED (The Cars - our version)..........WARHEAD (U K Subs)..............I WILL SURVIVE (Gloria's diva classic, punked up).........MY PERFECT COUSIN (Undertones).............IF THE KIDS ARE UNITED (Sham 69).........
RISING SUN (our version of the Animals House of..)...........CUM ON FEEL THE NOIZE (Slade - punky version)........NEW ROSE (The Damned)............PRETTY VACANT (Sex Pistols)............nO gOVERNMENT 2009 (our version of ANTI Pasti's classic).............DONT FCUK WITH 'COMBE (our song)...........LORD'S PRAYER (TV Smith).........JINGLE BELLS (punk style, but only at Christmas)........BLITZKRIG BOP (The Ramones)...........BASKET CASE (Green Day)... I WANNA GO (our song about anyone who's been told that they can't go out to something they deperately want to go to..haven't we all been in that position? )..... ALL THE SMALL THINGS (Blink 182)......WHITE CHRISTMAS (That Bing Crosby Classic..)
THE REAL PUNK EXPERIENCE ! We'll prostitute ourselves at any gig, party, event, wedding, festival - more or less anywhere a lively band is required - if you're a charity or local good cause, we'll probably do it for free !
The band consists of the remnants of "Probably the only Round Table punk band in the whole world!! " (The original members are / were members of that fantastic hard working worldwide blokes charitable institution.) Basically we play our own stuff, punk covers and our versions of other peoples songs.
Whats the Crack then ? Well, for 3 of us in the band its a good deal of nostalgia, rather than protest (albeit this Government is a disgrace) Our formative teenage years involved punk rock, the music that helped get rid of an era of bad taste, of fake american accents in every song on the radiogram and an opportunity to complain noisily that life for young people was just pretty crap. Loved the attitude, loved the music, loved the style and how it upset the older generation. It just summed up our teenage years.
Well, we just love playing, we're bloody enthusiastic and if we can do that, have a laugh, please a few people, get the odd few bob to replace broken kit and bring down the Government in the process (LOL), thats what its all about !
The band formed at the end of 2004 following a chance discussion at a Vibrators gig in sunny Ilfracombe. The rest is history. We've played at some amazing and unusual places, with some amazing and unusual people, supported punk legends including The Vibrators and Vice Squad and been on the same bill as Arthur Brown (as in "the incredible world of ") and Space Ritual (remnants of Hawkwind) and supported The Wurzels at Birdman 2009 ! we've played our rendition of If the Kids are United with Matt Sargent (Ex Sham 69) on bass and played with up and coming London punk band, The Duel.....and we want more !
Other "claims to fame" include ex pro drummer Andy having drummed for Alvin Stardust when Al was at the height of his career in the mid 70's and touring for two years with 999. He's made daleks for Little Britain and has presented (badly) on a satellite TV goods channel. The band also features a Solicitor, a rude shopkeeper and a semi professional actor / dancer. With a line up like that, how can the band fail to impress?
The emphasis at Falling Apart gigs is on providing a show, some lively entertainment, "the real punk experience" and getting people onto the dance floor. We just love it.

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!
thanks for a superb set at birdman on sunday,it was a pleasure to work with you as always and hopefully we will have beaten last years toatal for charity. i hope you enjoyed the day and see you soon ray
