Every few years a band forms to shape the development of modern music. This flame with two points of origin draws members from both Nebraska and Iowa. Rising from the ashes of a half dozen bands, carrying a plethora of influences Falling to Grace is sure to make its mark on mainstream metal.
In an effort to combine the genres guitarists Casey and Dan ambitiously joined together. Finding solace within their own musical tendencies, and with Trevor Kinkade they began to turn this abstraction into reality. The addition of Josiah Ury offered an entirely new dimension to the steadily growing concept. With it, they had spliced qualities of European Melodic Death Metal and the early Massachusetts Hardcore. Nick Brown, being in a previous band with Josiah and Trevor, was an obvious choice for bass. Finding a vocalist with the ability to not only sing and scream, but to do both well was a necessity. After exhausting options for an adequate, serious singer, Kellen was contacted. Enthusiastically, he would seemingly become the final piece of Falling to Grace. However, in early 2009, it became apparent a change was needed, and the band seperated from their long time friend and drummer.
Morgan Kline soon filled the position.
The original vision is realized more and more every day. The EP titled “Amidst the Ruins” remarkably sums up the optimism and ambition of the band. This is the beginning of the path ahead. The future can only be brighter as time passes by.
