False Negative is a jazz-funk band based in East Lancashire, UK, formed in 2005. The band members are:

The False Negative sound combines interlocking melodies over a solid rhythm section and covers a range of styles from Jazz & Blues to Latin & Funk grooves. Each band member brings to the table a wealth of writing and performance experience, enabling False Negative to produce fresh-sounding and accessible contemporary music.
The majority of our compositions come from improvisation and experimentation during practice sessions, an integral part of the False Negative experience. The four tracks presented here are taken from our recent gig for Oxjam in Darwen, 27th October 2007. A new demo CD is currently being produced and will make it’s way on to here shortly.

The jazz night at the Black Horse is now up and running and is in full swing. Tomorrow will be the third instalment of jazz and will feature "The Pinto Beans" with Harold Salisbury on saxaphones and flute. Alongside Harold will be Dave Hardman on guitar with bassist Norman Helm and Jonathon Hartley on drums. Music starts at 9pm and is totally FREE.
