When writing and recording "All the Wicked", their debut CD on Burning Records, Famous had one goal in mind, to make a REAL rock record. Throwing Pro-tools editing out the window and recording their music with no computer assistance allows the listener to feel all the nuances of the true musicianship that FAMOUS possesses. FAMOUS lives and plays real, honest, no gimmicks, no bullshit rock and roll and you can hear it on the new CD loud and clear.
Famous takes their inspiration from the greats: the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Who, Black Sabbath etc. FAMOUS has melded these influences into an awesome roar of classic yet progressively unique modern rock displayed through stellar musicianship and songwriting that will make you believe in the power of rock-n-roll. FAMOUS summons the souls of the great rock legends of the past while creating music that is undeniably now. FAMOUS is leading the rock-n-roll revolution. A return to real bands, real players, real songs
All the Wicked is an amazing fusion of powerful vocals and towering guitars, set to stunning grooves and booming bass. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Ben Phillips, often described as "Chris Cornell meets Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix, creates a captivating, unified voice with his rich vocal performance and soaring guitar solos. The foundation of any legendary rock band is a great drummer. The drums of Jamie Perkins are huge and definitely undeniable. From deep grooves to all out thrashing, Jamie has chops to spare and the taste to use them wisely. Keeping everything together is the rock solid bass of Mark Damon. His ability to create melodic, memorable bass lines that never get in the way of the song, delivered with a confidence and tone almost as big as him (towering at 6'4") is something that most players only dream about. Add great songs that speak for themselves and a scorching, in-your-face live show and FAMOUS are living up to their name.
