Who I'd like to meet: FanBand is an application designed for musicians that allows your live audience to purchase mp3 files directly from a laptop at your show, in a checkout like interface. Relying solely on a fans email or cell phone address, FanBand automatically sends download links or mp3 files to your new fan, without the need for a credit card terminal, a merchant account, or even an internet connection in the venue at the time. You don't even have to run FanBand when an internet connection is available.
The fan can also receive your upcoming show information with MapQuest links along with their purchase within the email or text message. By using this software, you gain the benefit of receiving your new fans contact information, keep 100% cash profits, all without the need of restricting your live audience to only buy physical merchandise at your shows. Songs can also be sold for free, giving an easy incentive for your audience to sign up right at your show.
There is no need for your fans to bring iPods to shows, no need for them to type a coupon code into a website, no need to make them have to sign up for anything; once they get home all they need to do is check their email. For Bands, it provides a solution to correctly interact with your live audience in a digital music file realm. I am super bored figured just let all of you amazing NY fans know that 12/20/09 at Webster Hall will be our last show for a little while because after that show we will be taking some time off, not going on a lame "Hiatus" or breaking up, but just taking time off for the first time in 6 years of being in this band. We have a day off from our Hot topic tour and im bored, thus, this comment haha but on the real we have a ton of NY and NYC dates coming up that i figured id tell you about the old fashioned way (as far as myspace goes) via comment haha. There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
