P.S. Except for Deathmetal. We don't actually sound like that at all.

Katie and Liz Davis are sisters who are short and sweet. When Katie was born on a bright autumn morning in 1984, the doctors exclaimed to her parents, "Congratulations, you have a fiddle." This wasn't nearly as traumatizing as when Liz was born two years later, as the cello is much larger and has an endpin. (OUCH!)
Anyway, Liz and Katie like to play music, and they really like to improv, which is just musical thinking out loud. When not playing music, Liz and Katie like to think out loud in the non-musical sense as well. They are both college students. Liz is a cello performance major at Berklee College of Music. Katie studies violin performance at USU. She jut got back from an 18 month mission to South Africa.
This album, produced by FiddleSticks (which is the regular name for Katie and Liz's family when they play all together) features the fiddle and cello. The title: Ampersand*. Look for more info at www.fiddle-sticks.com.
The album features guest artists such as Cat Larsen on piano/guitar, Rob Honey on bass, and the trendy and fashionable Jake Armerding on mandolin and back-up (listen to his lilting voice on Little Maggie).
