F a n c y F e a s t started in 2003. Original name idea: Fruit Cocktail (was amused by Peaches). A band I was in called Fozlur broke up, and I was experimenting with digital multi-track recording for the first time ever. While simultaneously immersing myself in feminist theory, I invented this angst-driven female persona to sing/shout on top of the songs I would record. One demand: dance. I performed with Assacre, Knife Party, Nihil Mali, Tran Tram, and other Totally Wreck stuperstars. We mainly played at house parties and on the Lamar pedestrian bridge - here in Austin, TX, from 2003-2005.
Fancy Feast slowly turned into a new music project, called Belaire...
Before your midnight house parties... Come on out to the Ghost Room *EARLY* New Years Eve to celebrate the release of The Sour Notes' new CD 'Its Not Gonna Be Pretty' with The Weird Weeds, No Mas Bodas & Mermaid Blonde.
