Fan Fiction is a project from St. Paul's unofficial City Hall bringing you original songs of the indie-folk-alt country ilk.
The duo performed together for the first time without planning it: Martin was at the Fitzgerald Theater for a short set during the Provention Concert, and at the last minute his accompanist had to cancel. He asked Kate to sing harmonies on a couple of his tunes, chemicals reacted, and a band was born. Since then they have performed on various stages around the Cities, including that of the 331 Club, the Turf Club, the 400 Bar, the 501 Club, a Jim Walsh Hootenanny, the Red Stag Supper Club, and more.
Fan Fiction has recorded at Shortman Studio with Darren Jackson (Kid Dakota, the Hopefuls). Posted above are the resulting demos.
