L’arrondissement Ville-Marie, en collaboration avec les Productions PASA Musik vous invitent à célébrer en musique l’atteinte d’un « Niveau Nouveau » lors de la quatrième édition de Fanmi se Fanmi. Venez découvrir des univers musicaux distincts, hétéroclites, et en faire partie intégrante. Cette fois-ci, les artistes invités seront l'éclectique Socalled, le solide Wesli Band, et les magnifiques percussionnistes du groupe Maloukaï. De plus, l'artiste visuel Monk-e sera sur place pour produire une peinture en direct. Nous retrouverons le poète et chanteur Jahnice en tant qu’hôte de l’événement et Dj Yéza à l’animation musicale. Le vendredi 6 novembre 2009, dès 20h, à l’Eglise St- James (1439 Ste-Catherine Ouest, entre Bishop et Mackay) venez célébrer en famille, la différence et le passage vers une étape nouvelle. L’entrée est gratuite. Avec vous la famille s’agrandit.
The Ville-Marie Borough in collaboration with PASA Musik productions is proud to announce the 4th edition of Fanmi se Fanmi entitled 'Higher Heights'. Hosted by the poet and singer Jahnice, "Fanmi se Fanmi" is a musical gathering that brings together different artists and people in a warm and welcoming family atmosphere that is dedicated to talent and inclusion.This concert will bring to the forefront three exceptional Montreal acts that boasts local and international acclaim. Wesli Band, lead by the versatile guitarist and singer from Haiti will showcase his afro-groove, roots and reggae inspirations. Socalled will perform his audacious and eclectic mash-up of klezmer and hip-hop. The amazing percussive group Maloukai will mesmerize the audience with their original compositions inspired by rhythms from around the world, and finally, visual artist Monk-e will be on site painting live to the concept of unity, which surrounds this initiative. Friday November 6th 2009, Show starts at 9pm, doors open at 8pm at the St. James Church (1439 Ste-Catherine West, between Bishop and Mackay). Admission is free.
