Movies
I enjoy many movies, but I absolutely love anything directed by Tim Burton or Hayao Miyazaki.
Television
Big Love, Heroes, Flight of the Conchords
Books
I tend to fancy the works of Neil Gaiman, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Chuck Palahniuk and Carl Sagan (what a motley crew that is). Quite frankly though, I'll read anything within a 5 foot radius that has a remotely appealing title... I buy books like they are going out of style. ;)..
Heroes
Pirates, ninjas, singing cowboys, or any combination thereof.
Also, these guys...
Tears For Fears Robert Plant Roger Daltrey Peter Gabriel Bob Dylan Johnny Cash Jeff Buckley Peter Frampton
About me: Woke up, got out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up, I noticed I was late
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke
Somebody spoke and I went into a dream...
My name is Kelly, and I'm twenty-something college graduate with a degree in graphic design (my old portfolio) and a minor in being a wiseguy. I'm highly adept at drawing nonsensical paraphernalia, playing a multitude of instruments, ninjastry and being a cheeky monkey. I like reading, camping, traveling, learning new things, listening to music (live, preferrably), smiling, laughing, singing at inappropriate times in public places, badger tossing, male English musicians with impressive hair, spending time with friends, and the word "tomfoolery". I dislike bad drivers, dishonesty, suffering fools, imaginary numbers, small talk, and pointy high-heels that cut off circulation to your brain. My biggest fears in life are bending over and subsequently ripping the seat of my pants, and the Donner Party.
I live in Northern California, under my bed, where I try not to panic.
"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
"There's going to come a point in your life where you're going to have to decide whether you're going to stay on the pessimistic side of the street, or make the move over to Optimist Lane."
— My Dad
Who I'd like to meet: New friends, old friends, fellow musicians, illustrators, designers, and people who
know how to laugh at themselves. :)
