About me:
Fantastic Planet: Sydney International Science Fiction and Fantasy Film Festival will be invading the screens of Dendy, Newtown from October 30 to November 6, 2009.

Founded by the team behind Australia's leading horror film event (A Night of Horror International Film Festival), Fantastic Planet is dedicated to seeking out and encouraging bold new speculative films that explore imagined worlds, universes, and realities; celluloid glimpses of alternative futures, presents, and pasts. And showcasing this fantastic cargo of cinema to audiences in Sydney, Australia.

MOON in Australian cinemas from October 8!
..
For three long years, Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) has been on the moon dutifully working solo harvesting Helium 3 for Lunar, a company that claims it holds the key to solving humankind's energy crisis. As Sam's contract comes to an end, the lonely astronaut looks forward to returning to his wife and daughter down on Earth, where he will retire early and attempt to make up for lost time. His work on the moon base has been enlightening, but the isolation is starting to make Sam uneasy. With only two weeks to go before he begins his journey back to Earth, Sam starts feeling strange: he's having inexplicable visions, and hearing impossible sounds. Then, when a routine extraction goes horribly awry, it becomes apparent that Lunar hasn’t been entirely straightforward with Sam.
Catch MOON when it lands in Australian cinema's from October 8!
