Fanta Yayo from Guinea was born in a griotfamily, which means that the dance and music tradition goes from generation to generation within the family. She was brought up with dance, song and music in her life and today she is one of the best female dancers from her homecountry, Guineé. She is usually a member of the Matamba ballet in the capital town Conacry, Guinée. In her life she has performed with other celebreties like Mory Kante in Guinea, Kerfala Kante, Guinea, Ibro Diabatè, Guinea , Salif Keita, Mali and Aicha Kone. Earlier she was also a member of Chapee de Guineé. Since 2005 she lives in Sweden and is a very poplular dance instructor. She teaches classes in different westafrican dancestyles at the dancestudio Urkraft in Stockholm, the balletacademy in Stockholm, and she has given many courses throughout the country, from north to south. She is not only a great dancer, she is also a fenomenal singer and together with five other musicians she is the lead singer in the group named Tamala. Together they have performed at Urkult Festival, Musicmuseum, Stockholm, Maisha galan and many other places. ..
