About me:
I was born in Coral Gables, Florida, just close enough to the 5th Street Gym to garner my interest in boxing as a young boy and just far enough away to keep my overprotective mother from driving me there to train. I grew up reading Pat Putnam in the Miami Herald and Sports Illustrated and was fortunate to remember at least some of the 60’s and 70’s, including most of the big fights. At the tender young age of seventeen, I decided to Go West to find my fortune and ended up traveling around the world, sans fortune. In the late 80's I began training in Muay Thai. In 1995 I took my first of what would be many trips to Thailand to train there and was hooked. After growing weary of traveling back and forth to the country, I decided to stay for a year to find my self and have been here ever since.
Somehow in the process, I became a boxing writer and photographer.
Published Work:
Currently, I write and shoot for: Ring Magazine, Boxing Digest, Boxing News, The Fist, HBO Sports and The Phuket Gazette. I've also been published in Black Belt Magazine, The Journal of Asia Martial Arts and Maclean Magazine. I am a member of Ring Magazine’s Rating Advisory Panel, Boxing Writers Association of America, the International Boxing Research Organization and I serve as an editor for BoxRec.com.

The King of Thailand - Bhumibol Adulyadej, Aung San Suu Kyi, David Alan Harvey, Zhang Ziyi, Nicole Kidman, Tata Young, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard (again), Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Rod Stewart and Lisa Ling.
