Owen Richards is our official photographer. Better recognize.
This band started forever ago with a whole bunch of different people but I guess you probably don't care about that. We used to rehearse in a kitchen but now we've been elevated to the dizzy, expensive heights of rehearsal rooms. Oh the Shame. We only ever want to play the smallest, best, quietist shows; in book shops, cellars, under the stairs and in the cupboard. These songs we got up here on our little site were recorded by our friend Charlie from the awesome San Luis Obispo. If you care enough to read this then you must be a friend... We are friends right?

JACOB'S STORIES have spent at least 18 months now being Brightons most criminally ignored act. The tender ethereality of Stuart Lee's vocals fused with electro-glitch classicalism produces a truly futuristic, yet instantly enthralling, sound.
Imminent debut album looks like turning '07 into a bright year for young Brummy quintet SHADY BARD, with national radio sessions becoming an almost regular event and early releases fetching ludicrous prices. Musically reminiscent of Gorky's with epic British Sea Power style vocals, powerful and building ballads of intense fragility...
London's ONE MORE GRAIN celebrate their debut cd (on VICTORY GARDEN RECORDS) with their debut Brighton gig - a hypnotically jazzy blend of semi detached bedsit narrative, droning kraut rhythms, and a cool Miles Davis undertow...a warm up for their PERE UBU support the following week.

The Forecast Festive Freakout is upon us, in two parts no less!
Firstly on monday 11th December we have what can only be described as one of our strongest bills to date, and I might go as far as saying its the strongest bill you'll find anywhere outside of All Tomorrows Parites, so there you go. We have Six Organs Of Admittance in a rare appearance with a full band! He's been over a couple of times but mostly on his own so this is a treat indeed, if you aren't familiar, get yourself to the six organs website Then we have Sunburned Hand Of The Man, recently featured alongside other bands carrying the psychedelic torch aloft on the UNCUT covermount cd which would be a fine way to introduce youself to the group if you haven't already. Their live shows are pretty legendary and should be experienced at least once in your lifetime. Then, if that wasn't enough we have the lovely Josephine Foster whose utterly captivating voice we enjoyed a while back when she supported Devendra Banhart, now finally back for a long overdue return. And finally we have ex Gorky Zygotic Mynci troubadour, Richard James whose debut solo album, Seven Sleepers Den has been met with universal praise and is a true Forecast favourite. The fact that Richard James is OPENING this show should give an idea of the pedigree of the acts on offer tonight, these types of show come around all too rarely so it goes without saying that missing this would be a grand error.
Tickets are available through Spillers Records (02920 224 905) and Clwb Ifor Bach (02920 232199) and are £10 adv
Secondly we have Twisted Nerve and B-music head honcho Andy Votel Djing in The Buffalo Bar on Tuesday 12th dec. Founder of the Twisted Nerve label, discoverer of Badly Drawn Boy, head of B-Music (famous for unearthing hidden musical gems including the Welsh rare beat compilation with Gruff Rhys), Graphic Artist, Producer and several things besides, Votel is a real 21st Century Renaissance Man. He’ll be cracking open his bulging record box with the express intention of filling YOU with Christmas cheer. Fear not, there will be no Slade. Andy’s wingman for the party will be Voice of The Seven Woods (aka Rick Tomlinson). A potent cocktail of krautrock, folk, jazz, tropicalia and Welsh progressive rock, Rick has released a number of records on Votel’s Twisted Nerve label and he’s collaborated with artists such as Lone Pigeon, Jane Weaver, Badly Drawn Boy, Dave Tyack and Aidan Smith. Tasty. Filling in the gaps will be the FUZZ djs (thats me and some friends form the Monkey Tennis troupe)
