About The Farewell Reason (!!!New Record Out Now!!!)
The Farewell Reason are hardcore/punk band from Cakovec, Croatia. Igor Bistrovic
(guitars, vocals), Franjo Filo (bass, vocals) and Boris Strahija (drums) formed a
bend in summer 2001. After a short time in garage they recorded their first demo
"...Nothing is Over" by themselves and started to play shows in Croatia and Slovenia.
First show was on 19th October 2001 in Cakovec with their friends Nikad and Apfuken.
After that there were more shows in Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. In 2003 Tomislav
Pintaric joined the band as the second guitar player and in that line-up band
recorded new material for a split with their friends Outre. The material was released
as a split LP in October 2005 and tape was released few months earlier by Dirty Harry
Punks and Brand New Place Records. After that band played lots of shows in Croatia,
Slovenia, Austria, Hungary and Serbia to promote the record. In 2007 Pinta left the
band and they decided to continue as a trio. There was a one year break and after
that they started to enter the rehearsal room and play again and work on new songs.
They started to record the new record in April 2008 in their improvised studio and
finished the recording by the end of summer of 2008. New record is finally out in
January 2009 and this time it is released D.I.Y. on CD as punk should always be.
Music on the record is still hardcore/punk with different influences, mostly bands
from mid nineties golden hardcore era. Lyrics are personal but also political
because of the world we all live in. New record "Hit Me Once, Miss You Twice" is out
and now band is trying to play as much as possible, so if you can help them in
organizing a show for them feel free to write them.
