The members of Farewell Typewriter met at a vacuum cleaner sales conference in Pierre, SD years ago. After a few banana daquiris at the Kings Inn (Carl makes 'em strong!), the boys started jamming on some ukeleles and cigar-box guitars that were in the hotel lobby. Lo and behold, the seeds of the band were planted.
Farewell Typewriter's songs are influenced by music that spans several genres, but contains several key elements: solid melodies, interesting arrangements and memorable sounds. Hopefully you'll find that these all seep through into the band's music.
Farewell Typewriter is ready to make you a fan. Let them know what it takes. If it means being their friend, consider it done. If it means playing in your town, they'll see what they can do. If it involves illegal activity, they'll have to think about it and get back to you. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't listen to their music in the meantime. Because you definitely should.
Hope everyone can join us for this night at Cafe Du Nord:

Thanks for the friend request. Your stuff sounds really good, I like it. I know that I have seen or heard of you guys somewhere but I can't put my finger on it right now... It'll come to me eventually.
Anyway, if you ever need an opening act, let me know. You sound like a fun band to do a show with.
