Farmfest is a relaxed and intimate music festival the third weekend of August, in the beautiful Michigan north woods, the highlight of August for Michigan folk afficionados. The Farmfest main stage sits at the bottom of a visually and acoustically beautiful natural amphitheater. The stage was crafted of wood from the barn that stood at the top of the hill. The lineup tends to feature some of the best Michigan folk-spirited acts, from traditional folk and bluegrass to modern reggae and folk-flavored rock'n'roll. Come camp onsite, or drive out for the day.
We live in a very interesting time in Michigan History. A time of migration and shifts. Change. We focus on our strengths to survive. Two things Michigan has that no other state have are her Music and her land. We are rich in Musicians and people with great spirits. Through the music and love for the land, Farmfest weekend becomes a powerful tool for great change. Support and Celebrate Michigan Artists at Farmfest this year.
It is our belief at Farmfest that "community", our connection with the land, and the music makers are the elements that make the Farmfest magic.
PLEASE CONSIDER BECOMING A SPONSOR ~
We would REALLY love to pay Farmfest artists what they are worth this year! With your help we can do that. That's what Farmfest is all about folks...keeping the music alive! Check out the bands and tell us who you would like to sponsor.

Despite some problems early on this year there is now some good news from the Posey Lake Akademy of Musicology. The BUS seems to be running as well as could be expected for a vintage 1952 model. Bud and I took the bus on a 25 mile shake down drive today and returned in one piece. She should be able to make it to Farmfest again this year... Yea!
i was thinking i would like to volunteer during the fest. im sorry i cant make up there this weekend. but can fri-sun pm. with kids tent or clen up duty (mon) setting up(thursday or friday) or drive around in the cart helping people. i am also a cena, emt-basic and paramedic so, i could be a medical volunteer.
Yea, it is unfortunate that you had that experience at Farmfest that year. As with every Festival on the planet, things happen that create bad feeling and fear and grief etc etc etc at times. These things usually happen every year at every Festival at least once. The bigger Festivals even more. What is sad is that it keeps you away from such a great event. Farmfest is special...no matter what. Send Mama Luna some love and come on home! We miss you and your kids!
havent been back to farm fest sense the CRAZY tie dye lady yelled at my kids for being 2 mins late then tripped out at stage and never showed up for the rest of dying and left us and others waiting and scared. but it was fun to be had for 8 yrs, my kids dont want to go back now though after that :( mama luna i think it was
