Farm Sanctuary works to end cruelty to farm animals and promotes compassionate living through rescue, education and advocacy. We envision a world where the violence that animal agriculture inflicts upon people, animals and the environment has ended, and where instead we exercise values of compassion.
Farm Sanctuary member/volunteer Rebekah Mullaney recently finished writing and illustrating a new children’s book, Azuki Loves Green Tea. This full-color children's book about a cat (Azuki) who works at a green tea shop in Kyoto, teaches children about green tea and the process farmers use to grow and produce green tea in Japan. The main character, Azuki, is inspired by a cat adopted from Farm Sanctuary by the author. The book makes a wonderful gift for anyone who loves cats, or is interested in Japan.
