Quoted from Owen Duffy of Puny Human Promotions: "Farseer play melodic metal appealing to fans of Gamma Ray, Iced Earth and Sabaton, but they're not your typical power metallers. This is decidedly headbangable festival-metal" - www.sinrocks.co.uk
The Myspace player is pretty mince, come join us on Last.fm!
Farseer are a power metal act with progressive touches from central belt Scotland. Currently gearing up to record the band’s new material!
Originally formed in early 2008 by David Bisset (bass), David Connolly (guitar), Jon Stewart (guitar), Dean Turner (vocals) and Stefan Barron (drums) Farseer set out to create melodic and traditional metal which appealed to their own tastes.
Since then Farseer have released a 5 track demo CD and played alongside acts such as Sabaton (SWE) & Grailknights (DE) and recently completed a joint mini-tour with Alba Gu Bràth (SCO) of their home country; Scotland. Additionally the band made it through to the Scottish regional finals of the Bloodstock Metal to the Masses Competition in 2009
Tomorrow Night, Friday 20th November, Downtime Events will be hosting The Four Horsemen 2009 at Ivory Blacks in Glasgow, which will feature some of the best live Heavy Metal acts that Scotland has to offer including Syth, Ascension, Siphon Plane and Aces High. Doors are at 7, and tickets, priced £5, will be available on arrival at the venue. This will be a truly phenomenal night that you will not want to miss, so gather the Metal masses, and come down to Ivories for a great night.

Hey guys ace show at the moorings last night, enjoyed it very much.
In my opinion you guys have already got yourself a decent enough singer now, reminded me of a mix of Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske. Never managed to grab an E.P off you though, can i order it on-line?
All the best with taking on the singing. I'm sure it won't go "badly" or the others wouldn't let you! I'm busy researching the Picts - I'm teaching up in Brechin next week. The joys!
Hey lads, cheers for adding us as friends and good to see you lot on the UKMU as well. Lovin' yer work and hopefully we'll cross swords at some point in Glasgow.
Cheers! Good to see you too! How are things going? Any luck getting a singer? I'm grand, just getting on with some research and doing some teaching work. Later, V x
I have decided to dedicate the majority of my time to recording and selling albums. Currently I am on a Cassette kick, and everything that I am self releasing, or releasing on the label I own and operate (Kapustin Yar Records) is now on Tape. Prices will remain as low as possible on said products, because Tapes are for die hard collectors or
Cassette enthusiasts only these days. The majority of albums I release on other labels, which is a larger and larger number month by month, are still being released on CD. That being said, I have recently recorded for The Persona Series (albums for individuals, named after their purchaser, with the owner retaining all rights and receiving 2 mini posters for $10 postage paid), which has been very successful. I have recorded a 90 minute Cassette, High Above The Horizon, which is available for $4 postage paid, and The Blood Album Part 2 for $4 postage paid. Please help me to continue pumping out these and other albums by ordering these crazy Tapes today!!!

I am now
recording for a new set of releases called the "Persona Series". These
cassettes will be commissioned works (not by content, but by payment)
for individuals. If John Smith in London, England wants his own Zebulon
Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute
tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him
(Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to
the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting
rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection,
and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will
be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for
the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be
shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of
purchase!!!
