Farthing, a magazine of science fiction, fantasy, and horror stories from the UK. According to Ursula K. le Guin, we're "Cooler than Asimov's" and Lois McMaster Bujold said "Shiny!" when handed a copy.
We've decided to get on MySpace to get the word out about our fabulous little zine. We're friending lots of people, come join us! If you become our friend on MySpace you'll get special insider information, like a few days lead time on the reopening of submissions and seeing the Drabbles (and sometimes story excerpts) from future issues before the print run. There may even be secret handshakes, who knows?
Our fourth issue is hot off the press and was available for the first time at LACon/WorldCon. This marks our first year of publicaion!
As Issue 4 hits the streets, Farthing would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have contributed to its first year. In particular, a big thank you goes to those people whose early subscriptions supported us through some rocky early days, and we hope you have enjoyed the magazine that your support made possible.
In our fourth issue, we have fiction by: Merrie Haskell, Matthew S. Rotundo, Robert Devereaux, Tim Baer, Marcy Rockwell, Phoebe Wray, Lucy A. Snyder, and William I. Lengeman III. All excellent authors with excellent stories.
Back issues are still available as well. Visit our website to get current and back issues plus subscription info.
Just to be clear, this MySpace is official and run by the Powers That Be(tm) of Farthing, but this is not the place to submit stories, query about stories, or argue about your rejection letter. We love you! But don't do that.
