November 2009: Fasedown is back together and playing shows!!!
After a break of nearly four years, the band is together again and playing shows, most recently headlining the Michael Phillips cd release. They are also contemplating the idea of writing new material. Stay tuned...
More history: After a break from the scene, including a temporary name change to Parakaleo, the members of Fasedown converged to write the highly anticipated release, "Blitz of Anguish". The album combines brutality, speed, aggressiveness, groove, and technicality to achieve the final product heard in the tunes.
Fasedown's beginning: Jim, Mike, and Curtis Suderman got together to play some metal and as things progressed, discovered Devin Shaeffer on Curtis' recommendation. Things immediately gelled, and the band cranked out it's self-titled album in 1999, released under Rescue Records in 2000. Playing solid venues in Arizona, L.V., Fresno, and Santa Cruz (Luis Palao 10,000+!!!), Fasedown was well on it's way. Shortly after the band sold out the first pressing of 5,000 units, Rescue was forced to close it's doors after putting a ton of money into re-releasing P.O.D.'s prior albums and never getting paid by the distributor. A second pressing of Fasedown's debut album was never made.
