It is the suffering in following a Saviour who is basically unknown even amongst His "so called" own. It is the suffering in a daily death to self and constant realignment with His Spirit when we wander. It is the loneliness in standing up for what I know is right when I know I am being ridiculed and back stabbed and basically get no visible reward for. It is the injustice in seeing people advance when they cheat and steal and dying to that, because otherwise it only adds to serve the ego. It is that constant pulling down of that ego when it tries to rear it's ugly head in order to fit into the world. It is the loneliness at the time of prayer and affirming that I will follow even when the world has got a different agenda. It is the suffering in watching other "Christians" follow a different God. It is the joy of rising with Him above all that traditionally matters so much to the senses and body that makes me so happy to be walking with Him.
