Fashion Show Electronica an online CD by Lee FitzSimmons
Welcome to the living CD that is Fashion Show Electronica. Featuring elegantly fashioned sonic soundscapes along with a touch of soulful eloquence, Fashion Show Electronica embodies the constant search for the most daring trends.
1. Elegance in Motion – First, a passionate tenor saxophone melody is answered by a tastefully sensitive acoustic lead counterpoint. The two then join together in harmony and perform the second and third sections together. All of this occurs over an elegantly textured electronica soundscape.
2. Electronic Eleven – This piece features a piano melody over highly rhythmic bed of thick electronica goodness.
3. Water Happy – Twin keyboard lines sing together in beautiful compliment, as new textures are added and removed throughout the piece.
4. Emerald Conga – Two guitars sing together, as the rhythm section hammers out a hard-slamming congaline groove.
5. Silk Suave – Featuring some very interesting techno percussion sounds, this two guitar fashion instrumental presents the listener with some exquisitely layered sonic flavors.
6. Latin Fire – Burning with exquisite passion, this fiery uptempo Latin guitar composition features a pumping bass line along with a carefully articulated Spanish guitar lead.
7. Nite Diamond – This groove is nice and relaxed but still contains lots of neat electronica ear candy.
8. Fashion Rhythmica – A clavicord driven electronica groove gives birth to a beautiful ambient melody that is later complimented by a french horn.
9. Beauty Beat – A slowly pulsating chordal texture is joined by a flanged drum track. Suddenly, at the forty second mark, the entire aural soundscape explodes into a triumphant grandness that intensifies even further when it is immediately presented for a second time. Repeat.
10. Flower Flowing – A happy organ plays this easy going tune. A moog joins in for the chorus. All of this happens with a sensibly sparse bed of electronica textures.

I made my first video slideshow and wanted to share it with you. The musician (Elizabeth Ann Middleton) is one I found through MySpace, and she generously let me use her music to set to my images. Visit her MySpace page here - http://www.myspace.com/pianorama - she's fantastic! :-)
Spring is here and so are the butterflies! This week I have a gallery of a particular group of butterflies called Brushfoots. Brushfoots are the most commonly known and encountered of the large colorful butterflies (excluding the swallowtails) found in Florida and the Americas. These include the monarchs, fritillaries, buckeyes, and the viceroy below (who has nearly identical markings as the toxic monarch butterfly) to keep it from being eaten by birds.... cool trick, huh? :-)
Click the butterfly below to see my gallery - and please let me know what you think!
