Faster We Fall formed in the fall of 2004 and played their first show in December of 2004. At this time we were all 15 and 16 year old high schoolers who were new to the world of music. As time progressed and the band evolved, things started to get serious. After playing local shows for 2 years the band decided it was time to expand their horizons. In the winter of 2006 Faster We Fall bought a trailor and played their first out-of-state shows in Indiana and Ohio. Things went well and we decided it was time to book a real tour. The summer of 2007 taught Faster We Fall a lot of things as they independently booked and played their first tour. We played 15 shows in 12 different states and ended the tour playing The Anchor Stage at Cornerstone Festival. After the tour we decided it was time to write some new music becuase the music we had been playing was the same music that we had played since 2006. Faster We Fall took a break from playing shows and started to write music that challenged themselves as songwriters and musicians. There were many line up changes along the way and the music was so different that we decided the name Faster We Fall had to be retired. The name changed with the release of the new music in the Fall of 2008. We are now called Rejoice! Cries the Captive.
