I call this genre Intense Ambient: found sounds, altered electronics, scrap metal and other devices, blended to soothe and stimulate.
My musical roots were developed in an industrial city (Cleveland), where I grew up in the virtual shadow of a Ford plant, and I've lived most of my years within a few blocks of railroads. My musical experiments tend to reflect these environmental influences.

Here are two excerpts from a performance at Sonic Circuits, April 23, 2009, at the Pyramid Atlantic in Silver Spring, Md. (Not much to see, I'm afraid, as I played in the dark.) You can hear the full set at the District of Noise site.

Hi Keith! this is Alison from Moon Pie. you were talking to my mom at the sonic circuits show on Sunday! she gave me the card you gave her. this is really cool stuff. when i was in high school i tried to make tubular bells using galvanized ducting pipes and part of my own baby cradle as a frame but they definitely didn't sound this good!
Keith, the tubular bells you made have a fantastic spectral quality, and I like the blend of this sound and the electronics. I hope to hear these tracks on CD soon.
